Privacy Policy
OnePlace.direct is run by ABL Incorporated. This page says what your .direct account collects, why, and what is never done with it. Questions: [email protected].
What we collect
Information you give us
- Your name and the contact facts on your account — your email address and, when you add it for sign-in codes and account messages, your mobile phone number.
- Your account password, held only in protected (hashed) form — we never see it or store it in plain words.
- What you put on the sites: your listings and their facts, your photos, the messages and inquiries you send, and the suggestions you send us.
Facts from your dealings
- The record of what actually happened in dealings you complete through the account — listings completed, appointments kept, and the one question each side is asked at the close of a dealing. These facts make up your track record; they are created from completed dealings only.
Information collected automatically
- Where you are, approximately, when you use a site that centers its search on you — a place you pick yourself always replaces it.
- Basic technical facts: your device and browser type, your internet address, and the pages you visit, used to run the sites, keep accounts secure, and understand what is used.
- Cookies that keep you signed in and remember your picked place. The account does not work without the sign-in cookie; we do not use cookies to follow you around other people's websites for advertising.
Why we use it
To run your account and sign you in (including sending sign-in codes by text message) · to connect you with the people you deal with and carry your inquiries and messages · to show the checks and the track record the sites stand on · to screen for scams and abuse and enforce the account rules · to answer you when you write to us · to meet the law.
What we share — and what we never share
- With the other side of a dealing, only what the dealing needs: your name and the message you wrote them.
- With the companies that run pieces of the service for us — hosting, email delivery, and text-message delivery — only the facts each piece needs to work.
- When the law requires it, or to protect people on the sites from fraud.
- We never sell your information. We never share it for someone else's advertising.
Text messaging: All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties, excluding aggregators and providers of the Text Message services.
How long we keep it, and your choices
Your account facts live while your account does. Dealing facts that make up a track record are kept as the record of what happened; if you close your account, write to [email protected] and we will tell you plainly what closes with it and what record the law or the other party's own record requires us to keep. You may ask us what we hold about you, ask for a correction, or ask for your account to be closed — all at [email protected].
Children
The .direct account is for adults running their own affairs. We do not knowingly open accounts for children under 13.
