Terms of Use
OnePlace.direct — and the .direct account that works on every site in the family — is a service of ABL Incorporated. These terms are the agreement between you and ABL Incorporated for using it. Questions: [email protected].
The product
Your .direct account is one account and one password for the family of sites it serves: you list, ask, buy, sell, and hire under one identity, the checks run once, and the record of your completed dealings follows the seat you dealt in. OnePlace.direct is the family's directory — it indexes the sites and their listings; the listings themselves live on their own sites, and every dealing is between you and the other party, directly. ABL Incorporated runs the account and the directory; it is not a party to your dealings, and it does not hold your money in them.
Your account
- You are responsible for your account and for keeping your password yours.
- The facts you list and state must be yours to state and true as far as you know them. A listing for a place or a thing you have no right to offer may be removed and the account closed.
- Screening and consequences are automatic and follow the published rules of the sites: a listing or an account that fails a check is held or limited as those rules state, with the reason named.
- Your track record is made of facts from completed dealings and the other side's one answer at the close. It is shown as facts and counts, per seat; it is not sold, and it is not a credit report.
Text messages (the SMS program)
By providing your mobile phone number, you agree to receive text messages from ABL Incorporated at the number provided, including sign-in codes and messages about your account, your listings, and your conversations on the sites.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help. Your mobile information will not be sold or shared with third parties.
Message frequency varies — a sign-in code arrives when you ask for one, and account messages arrive when your listings and conversations need you. Message and data rates may apply, charged by your carrier. Reply STOP to cancel texts, or HELP for help; stopping texts does not close your account, and sign-in codes can always be sent to your account email instead.
Using the sites honestly
No listing or message may be a scam, a lure, or someone else's property offered as your own. No one may use the account to gather other people's contact facts for spamming or resale. We may hold, limit, or close an account that breaks these terms, with the reason stated to the account holder.
No promise beyond what the sites say
The sites show the facts their checks and records actually hold — a check means the check was run, a record means the dealings happened; neither is a guarantee about any person or any dealing. Deal with the care you would use anywhere: see the place or the thing, and never pay a deposit to someone you have not confirmed you are dealing with.
Liability and law
As far as the law allows, ABL Incorporated is not liable for dealings between account holders, which are theirs alone. These terms are governed by the laws of South Dakota. If a part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest stands.
Changes
If these terms change in a way that matters, the new words stand here with a new date, and account holders are told at their account email. Continuing to use the account after a change means you accept the new terms.
